Q FM Set to Open Television Station

ba QThe Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has issued Q-TV with a construction permit in Lusaka.

Q-TV is a sister station of Radio QFM which broadcasts from Livingstone to Ndola on the Copperbelt on the FM frequency.

In a letter dated 22nd December,2014, IBA Board Chairperson Retired Brigadier General Justine Mutale says once the construction is completed, the station will be required to invite the Independent Broadcasting Authority to inspect the TV station before the broadcasting license can be issued for satellite TV station.

General Mutale says the required installations will be expected to be completed within a period of 18 months.

General Mutale adds that Q-TV will also be required to engage the district planning authority to help come up with an appropriate structure as per IBA standards.
