Addressing a media briefing in Lusaka this morning, Mr Chipimo notes that the problems the country is currently facing are likely to persist with the current leadership.
Mr Chipimo says the ruling PF seems to be okay with everything that is happening when the country is facing many economic hardships.
He notes that the current load shedding the country is experiencing should have been anticipated a long time ago and the country would have planned for it.
Mr Chipimo adds that the projected creation of 500,000 jobs by the end of 2016 will not happen, stating that the country will instead experience more jobs losses owing to the current load shedding.
The NAREP leader states that jobs can only be created by addressing the fundamental issues in the country which the PF is not doing.
And Mr. Chipimo has accused President Edgar Lungu of abusing his prerogative of mercy powers by selectively releasing people who can contribute to the PF’s stay in power.
He says there a lot of people who are sick in prisons and mothers who deserve the president’s mercy, but that sadly they are not pardoned because they will not benefit the ruling party.
And on the constitution, Mr. Chipimo says the piece meal amendment is the only way that Zambians can make changes to the constitution as holding a referendum is unrealistic.
