ZAMBIA POLICE RAID MIPAL PRINTERS, CONFISCATES THOUSANDS OF COPIES OF THE POST NEWSPAPERS

fredZambia Police have raided the premises of Mipal Printers Ltd, which is just next to the Patriotic Front Headquarters on Lumumba Road and confiscated thousands of copies of The Post newspapers.
Newspaper owner Fred Mmembe has vowed that he will print the paper despite the court order to stop the print of the publication.
Mipal printing company appears to be among printing presses behind the production of the illegal publication of the Post Newspaper.
ZRA conducted the entry and search exercise as provided for by section 9 of the Customs and Excise Act.
The ZRA search discovered the Mipal Printers has been printing Newspapers for the Post Newspapers whose asserts have been sized over unpaid tax.
ZRA officers have since locked MIPAL Printers and secured the premises awaiting the availability of senior company officials.
A ZNBC News crew that visited the Printing Firm was informed that the search took place Wednesday night following a whistle blower’s alert.
