The High Court for Zambia has delivered a Judgment in favor of Simataa Simataa who was sued by Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank (Bank) for swindling them of K1 billion (un-rebased). The former employee of the Bank had entered into an Agreement with Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank after he had been fired by the Bank which saw him receive K1 billion ex gratia and a vehicle subject to certain undertakings.
However, in his usual cantankerous, treacherous and unprofessional conduct, Mr. Simataa has been a ‘gun for hire’ to anyone who has any scores to settle with either Dr. Mahtani or Finance Bank. He has been embarrassingly and shamelessly attacking Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank by volunteering privileged information of the Bank which came to his knowledge by virtue of having been an employee of the Bank. He has been doing this in total disregard of the Agreements he entered into despite professional conduct and ethics for Bankers.
More than 10 years after his dismissal, Mr. Simataa has failed to secure any employment due to his highhanded attitude and disregard of ethics. Yesterday, Mr. Simataa took to his Facebook page t
o boast about the Judgment and dared Dr. Mahtani and the Bank. In addition, through Zambia Reports and the Daily Nation, he extended his rant depicting the anger that burdens him to date since his dismissal.
Well known for his controversy, Simataa Simataa recently failed in his scheme to try and promote confusion at the Zambian Football House when he eyed the position of General Secretary of Football Association of Zambia. This was after the self-proclaimed ‘banking expert’ shocked the interviewers after he failed to produce a grade 12 Certificate during his interview.
Ironically, as Zambia is experiencing deep political divide on tribal lines, Mr. Simataa is a Lozi by tribe, and so is his Lawyer, the Judge and the author of the Article on Zambia Reports. Could this be a mere coincidence?
