The 39-year old has been charged with obstructing justice and has since appeared for mention before the Lusaka Magistrate Court.
Mutinta had an altercation with the police that had gone to M’membe residence’s on Nangwenya road in Rhodespark with an arrest warrant for her husband but she tore the warrant provoking the law enforcement officers to arrest her.
The police had gone to execute an arrest warrant issued by the Lusaka Magistrate Court on February 14 2017.
M’membe is being pursued for allegedly still posturing as owner of the closed Post Newspapers that is in the hands of the provisional liquidator Lewis Mosho.
The Post Newspapers proprietor is also being pursued for allegedly failing to handover a full list of all the assets the publication has so that they can be disposed of by the liquidator and pay people who are owed money by the institution.
A number of assets belonging to The Post newspaper have been frozen with the liquidator still hunting for more.
The Post Newspaper was shut down in June last year following a longstanding tax debt owed to the Zambia Revenue Authority.
The Lusaka Magistrate has issued arrest warrants for M’membe and State Counsel Nchima Nchito.
She has been granted a K3, 000 bail with two working sureties. The matter has been adjourned to 3rd March 2017.
